DareUs ("we", "our", or "us") is a couples dare game app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: Your first name and email address when you create an account via Google Sign-In or email.
• Usage data: Dares sent and received, points earned, badges unlocked, and leaderboard scores.
• Device information: Firebase Cloud Messaging token for push notifications.
• Purchase information: Subscription status (verified via Google Play). We do not store payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the app and sync data between you and your partner.
• To send push notifications about new dares and partner activity.
• To process and verify in-app subscription purchases.
• To display leaderboard scores and badge achievements.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your data is shared only with:

• Your partner: Your first name, points, and dare activity are visible to the person you are linked with.
• Firebase (Google): We use Firebase for authentication, database, cloud functions, and notifications. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play: For subscription billing and verification.

4. Data Retention

Your data is stored for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which permanently deletes all associated data.

5. Children's Privacy

DareUs is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below or use the account deletion feature in the app.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored securely in Google Firebase. Access to your data is restricted by Firestore security rules that enforce per-user permissions.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
